What you can do with the API, webhooks and the MCP server
The REST API covers invoicing, purchases, accounting, banking, inventory and reports; webhooks notify your system when something happens and the MCP server lets an AI client query your data.
If you are not signed in, Tario asks you to log in and opens your current company.
Steps
With a token, the
/api/v1API lets you register and issue invoices and notes, register and accept purchases, query queues and XML, download reports (books, VAT draft), close periods and use Hacienda catalogs. There are also JSON resources for invoices, estimates, recurring invoices, bills, purchase orders, accounts, transactions, banking, inventory and attachments, with the same rules as the web app.
The OpenAPI specification is at
/api/v1/openapi.json; the full guide and reference live in the API documentation (link under API Tokens). To avoid polling, create a webhook under Company settings → Integrations (or
POST /api/v1/webhooks): Tario notifiesinvoice.accepted,invoice.rejectedandbill.received, signed with HMAC-SHA256 inX-Tario-Signature.The MCP server (
/api/mcp, paid plans) connects Claude, ChatGPT or another AI client with read-only tools; web connectors are authorized with OAuth and stay bound to the chosen company.Every resource belongs to the token's company and the current Hacienda environment; amounts are in cents. Integrations → API access shows the base URL, this company's id and a curl quick start.
