Tario user guide: Banking. Steps, tips, common errors, and direct links to each screen.
- Manual bank and cash accountsIn Banking → Accounts you record your bank accounts, cards or cash by hand, without connecting the bank; every active account can be used to upload statements, reconcile and record payments.
- Import bank statementsUpload the bank statement or a payment receipt in Banking → Statement Imports; Tario reads it (with AI when needed), checks the balance and lets you review, retry, commit or roll back the import.
- Reconcile bank movements with invoices and billsIn Banking → Reconciliation you decide what each statement line is: the payment of an invoice or bill, an existing transaction, a ledger category or a line with no document; then you commit and complete the formal reconciliation.
- Merchant rules: categorize movements automaticallyA merchant rule remembers that some text in the bank description (for example "UBER" or "ICE") always goes to the same ledger account, so future imports arrive already categorized.
