Manual journal entries and the Journal Book
A manual journal entry records adjustments that do not come from documents: balanced debits and credits, dated inside an open period. Tario AI can prepare the draft for you.

Steps
Accounting → Journal entries shows every debit and credit line in the company, whether it came from a document, banking, inventory or a manual entry. Filter by Type, Account, From and Until, or search by description.
For a manual adjustment (depreciation, provision, reclassification) click New journal entry. Set the date under Posted and a Description that explains the reason.
Add the lines with Add movement: on each one choose Debit or Credit, the Account and the Amount. You need at least two lines and every account must allow journal entries.
The Balance check panel shows Debits, Credits and Difference; only when it reads Balanced can you use Post journal entry. An unbalanced entry never reaches the ledger.
The date must fall in an open period: if the month is already closed, reopen it from Accounting → Fiscal close or use a date in an open month.

Tips
- To correct a posted entry do not edit it: reverse it from its transaction and record the right one. That keeps the Journal Book's full sequence.
