Currencies and exchange rates
Settings → Currency defines the currencies the company uses on documents; the Banco Central exchange rate is fetched and saved automatically every day.
If you are not signed in, Tario asks you to log in and opens your current company.
Steps
Open Settings → Currency. Company currencies lists the currencies Available for documents, with the Default one and its Live rate.
Use Add currency, type the Currency code (for example USD or EUR) and confirm with Create.
For Costa Rica, Tario fetches and saves the Banco Central exchange rate daily; if it does not answer, it uses a fallback provider.
Refresh exchange rates (or Refresh now) brings today's rate when you need it before the automatic update.
Every document in another currency keeps its own exchange rate (editable in the editor with Edit exchange rate); reports convert at each document's rate, not today's.
Tips
- Hacienda's books and the VAT draft are always in colones.
