Client exoneration (UNDP, embassies, institutions)
A client's exoneration authorization is saved on the client and new invoices apply it to every taxed line while it is valid; once it expires, Tario warns and does not apply it.
If you are not signed in, Tario asks you to log in and opens your current company.
Steps
In Sales → Clients open the client and, in the Exoneration section, tick This client buys tax-exempt.
Fill in Authorization type (e.g. 03 Authorized by special law), Authorization number, Issuing institution (e.g. 02 Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship), Article and Section when the law gives them.
Enter the authorization Issue date and Expires on, and the Exempt points (%) (0 to 13). Law or internal note keeps the law (not sent to Hacienda).
Save with Save client. The badge shows Expires … or Expired on ….
When you create an invoice for that client, every taxed line shows Exempt 13 % · No. …; remove it on a line or use Apply exoneration to all lines. The exempted IVA shows in the totals.
If the authorization expired, the invoice shows the warning and does not apply it: Hacienda rejects expired exonerations. Renew it on the client with the new number (the previous one stays in the history).
Tips
- The exoneration applies on the line's IVA rate (e.g. 13 %), not with a 0 % rate: if you picked 0 %, use Use 13 % and exempt.
- Attach the client's billing-data letter (PDF or Word) to the assistant: it proposes creating or updating the client with its contacts, billing e-mail and exoneration for you to approve.
