Assignments: handing equipment to an employee and recording the return
An assignment places an item in an employee's custody with a signable slip; the return closes the cycle and frees the equipment.
If you are not signed in, Tario asks you to log in and opens your current company.
Steps
Inventory → Assignments lists which item each employee holds and since when. Click New assignment (or Assign item from the item detail).
Under Item and person choose the Item, the Responsible employee and the date under Assigned at.
Under Conditions note the Status during assignment, the Purpose and the Notes the employee receives with the item. Confirm with Confirm assignment; the status becomes Active.
Print the Custody slip from the row: it includes the acknowledgement and the signature spaces for whoever hands over and whoever receives.
When the equipment comes back, use Return assignment, set Returned at and notes about its condition; the assignment becomes Returned and the item is available again.
Under Organization → Employees, the Assigned items button on each row shows what the person has In custody and what was already Returned.
Tips
- An employee with assigned items cannot be deleted: record the returns first.
